Yes! Registration for a child 5 years old or younger can participate in the Run/Walk for FREE. However, we must still receive a filled out entry form for the child, and the child must be accompanied by a participating parent or legal guardian. Neighbors, older siblings, and other unrelated adults do not qualify as legal guardians.
Sorry, we cannot provide children 5 years and younger with a 5K race shirt.
Yes, individual students, 6 - 21 years old, get a $5.00 discount. (Children 5 years old or younger are free).
College age students must present a student ID card as proof of "student-hood."
Funds raised at this event go first to pay for the myriad costs of putting on an event such as this, and remaining funds are used by the Norco Kiwanis Club to provide continued support for the club's children's programs as well as to provide scholarships for high school seniors. So, the registration fee for individual runners and walkers is the same regardless of age.
However, the fee for a group of 10 participants does not change if children are in the group. (Please refer to the group discount page) We encourage you to take advantage of the group discount.
Yes, for groups of 10. It could be 10 runners, 10 walkers, or a mix of runners and walkers, but only for a full group of 10, regardless of age -- no partial groups. To receive the discount, a group of 10 must all register at the same time. Group Discount Page.
No. Sorry, there are no refunds for this event. (Please refer to the last line in the "fine print" on the registration form.)
Kiwanis is a self-supporting service organization and receives no government or agency funding. We depend solely on those participating in events such as this, and we—and the children who benefit—are grateful for your donations.
No. Sorry, registration fees are non-transferable. (Please refer to the last line in the "fine print" on the registration form.)

No, there are no cash prizes for this event.
No, just for the runners. It would be too difficult to keep track of those who walk the whole course without running, jogging, or stubbing their toe.
Yikes! Then you must go home and get it or you cannot participate. Because part of the course is on Navy property, every participant must have a pass to be on the course. The only way to get a pass is to get one at check-in and that requires a government issued picture ID, such as a drivers license.
If you do not bring your ID and can't participate, there will not be a refund.
Yes! Last minute individual participants are welcome (No groups of 10)!
If you want to participate and decide to register on the morning of the event, please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the event. Of course, same-day registrants must pay the late registration and are encouraged to bring a filled-in registration form to expedite the process.
Also, late registrants are not guaranteed an event T-shirt. T-shirts must be ordered in advance, and we try to anticipate the number of late registrations, but it is possible that we will not have enough for everyone. Only early registrants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Same-day registrants will not receive a T-shirt before the event and can ask afterward whether any T-shirts are still available.
No. No pets are NOT allowed to be on the course. This includes, but is not limited to, dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, hamsters, snakes, frogs, turtles (especially not turtles), bunnies, llamas, and caterpillars.
The only exceptions to this is our event security, some of whom may be riding horses.
